Description

This announcement is to notify Industry of a Request for White Papers (RWP) to be posted at http://www.nascsolutions.org/ under the Naval Aviation Systems Consortium (NASC). The RWP will be posted on or about October 2nd, 2023. In order to participate in this effort or submit a white paper, you must be a Consortium Member of the NASC. In order to join, visit nascsolutations.tech and select membership. There is no cost to join this consortium for the first year. Topic areas and sub-topic areas for this effort are as follows: Existing (or in development) capabilities, technologies and/or concepts that advance the state of art in one of the following topic areas (identify area by topic number and sub-topic area letter): Immersive training environments Rapidly deployable and ruggedized mobile immersive training environment for VR/AR applications; Full spectrum of Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations to support mounted/dismounted operations in the immersive training environment; or Full spectrum of ground vehicle and system maintenance training to ground system maintenance training courseware enabled within a 3D virtual environment to enhance critical thinking/decision making, and associated instructor/student courseware. Simulated weapons Sensor based (ie, optical, RF, etc) simulated weapons in support of Force on Force training; or Simulated battery-powered small arms weapons with realistic look, feel, and recoil characteristics. Marksmanship Near real time scoring/reporting/visualization of rifle marksmanship training with accuracy tolerance of 12mm or less; or Individual and collective marksmanship training with focus on enhancing proficiency, confidence and lethality. Game-based training Cloud based military leadership decision making games for individual and collective training on government and private platforms.
