Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a contract to Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) (McKinney, TX) for the procurement of HIRE II Sensors Units and Displays Units in support of the MK46 Gun Weapon System (GWS) pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� The HIRE II Thermal Imaging System (TIS) provides fire control operations for the MK 46 GWS. RIS is the only source possessing the requisite knowledge and expertise of the HIRE II Display Units and Display Units to satisfy the Government�s requirements. All responsible source interested in this requirement may submit a capability statement to the points of contact listed below that demonstrates their ability to supply the products identified above.� The Government will review each respondent�s capability statement and consider them for market research purposes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.� This is not a request for proposal (RFP).� This does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.� Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement.� Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is purely voluntary.� Companies in subcontracting opportunities must contact RIS directly. �
