Description

Marine Corps Base Hawaii has need to enter into an agreement with a tow truck operator that is capable of having base access to remove and store impounded and abandoned vehicles.� Vehicles to be removed are classified as abandoned or derelict, in used, poor, and or residual condition.� Vehicles consist of sedans, sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, and other common types of privately owned vehicles.� The MCBH PMO Impound Custodian is responsible for identifying the vehicles to be removed from the Impound Lot, maintaining records of each vehicle, and attempting to contact the registered owner/lien holder of each vehicle, prior to releasing vehicles to the towing company.� There will be no charge to the Government for removing the vehicles from MCBH to an off-base location by the towing company. These vehicles will be released to the towing company if unclaimed after 45 days.� The towing company selected shall maintain insurance in the following amounts and provide MCBH with a copy of insurance policy declaration page:� ���������� �a. Bodily injury of no less than $500,000 ����������� b. Property damage of not less than $200,000 ����������� c. On-hook coverage of not less than $175,000; or ��������� ��d. A combined single limit of liability of not less than $1,000,000 Some vehicles will require flat bed towing to be removed.
