This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The Portland VA Medical Center requires brand name equipment, for the CombiFlash NextGen 300+ Automated Flash Chromatography System. Teledyne Isco is the sole manufacturer of the quality CombiFlash and Redisep brand products including the CombiFlash NextGen family of Flash Purification systems. Teledyne ISCO CombiFlash NextGen 300+ system with an integrated UV/Vis and Evaporative Light Scattering Detection (ELSD; which allows for the detection of compounds with no chromophores). The CombiFlash NextGen 300+ system is an automated chromatography system that allows for the separation and collection of compounds (from microgram to multi gram scale) within an hour time period. Automation allows fractions to be collected based on mode of detection (UV/Vis and/or ELSD) therefore we do not need to directly oversee the purification process and collect fractions manually. The radio frequency identification and the built-in method scaling features of the CombiFlash NextGen 300+ system reduces setup time and potential errors. In addition to being efficient the CombiFlash NextGen 300+ system uses less solvent and therefore generates less waste during the purification process. The CombiFlash NextGen 300+ system is critical to meet the demands and goals of the research being proposed in a timely matter REQUIRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 685250001 - CombiFlash NextGen 300+ Automated Flash Chromatography System, UV detector 200-400 nm with PeakTrak software control via 12"" capacitive touchscreen.
