- Description
- This amendment only extends the submission date. ----------------------------- This is not a Request for Quote. This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information. Please provide all responses to this RFI to both the Contracting Officer, Joan Clarkston (Joan_Clarkston@ibc.doi.gov) & the Contract Specialist, Stephen Dennis (Stephen_Dennis@ibc.doi.gov). The purpose of this announcement is for market research purposes to determine what capable software & hardware solutions and businesses are available on the GSA Multiple Award Schedule SIN 33411 Purchase of Equipment that can support a requirement for 10 Multi-Function Devices capable of scanning to OneDrive for the Department of the Interior (DOI), Office of Hearings and Appeals (OHA). A copy of the draft Statement of Work is attached. Responses to this request for information shall not constitute responses to any request for quote, which is not currently available. No request for quote currently exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the request for quote. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely at the Governments discretion. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of the results of any government assessments. The Governments evaluation of the capability statement received may factor into whether any forthcoming request for quote will be conducted as a small business set-aside, full and open competition, or sole-source procurement. The Government may also utilize responses to determine potential sources that may be solicited under FAR 8.405-2(c)(2)(ii). Firms that believe they are capable and interested in providing these services may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The capability statement shall be no more than ten (10) pages in length and shall address the following topics: Organizations name, GSA contract Number, Address, Phone Number, Email, and Point of Contact Information Brief summary describing your organization software & hardware that could complete this requirement. Indicate if these products are on the proposed GSA schedule listed above. Indicate if any of these offerings are considered open market. Indicate whether a different SIN would be applicable for any part of this procurement. Description of any work done previously related to areas mentioned above along with the name of business and organization, date of award & completion, and estimated award value Include your business size classification (e.g. large business, small business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, SDVOSB, WOSB, VOSB, etc. for the GSA Scheduled contract) The government is also requesting that firms submit any applicable questions or advice for the government to consider as it works to finalize its requirements documents. Areas specifically related to implementing this requirement are encouraged. The government is considering if it will permit vendor demonstrations at no cost to the government. The government would be interested to know if firms would be interested in providing a demonstration on the governments network with both hardware and software, at a location yet to be determined (most likely in or around the Washington, DC area). If demonstrations are permitted, we would appreciate knowing: 1. How much lead time would be required to schedule the event? 2. How long does a typical demonstration would take? 3. Can the government install the software and hardware or if the contractor would need to participate? 4. How long would it typically take to set up the software/hardware on the governments test environment to prepare the vendor demonstration? 5. What are the technical requirements/Government Infrastructure for your machines to be tested on the Government network? A. Do you require access to DOI servers? B. Are there any specific network configurations that are required for your machine to access the DOI network? C. Are there any specific firewall rules required? D. Are there any specific protocols required? E. Are there any other infrastructure requirements the Government should be aware of? Any questions or recommendations regarding this process are highly encouraged. There is no page limitation for this submission or feedback on the requirements documents.
