Description
The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to provide answers to questions posed by industry, extend the deadline for submissions, provide an updated deadline for additional questions, and provide a final site visit for vendors. Questions and Answers: I also need to know the last time all of the roof anchors were inspected?  Rappelling anchors need to be inspected a minimum of once per year.  The rappelling anchors haven t been inspected, we prefer vendors to use a lift for any cleaning or maintenance. I would also like to know the last date that the building was professionally cleaned from top to bottom? Do you know the cleaning process used? August 2013.  We don t know the previous cleaning process. Do you prefer contractors to use a lift or can they rappel from the building?  We prefer vendors to use a lift. Could there be another site visit for contractors to look closer at the stains to determine the proper cleaning solutions? Yes Please see a date/time for the final site visit for this requirement below. Are there any subcontracting restrictions to this work? This requirement is set-aside for VA CRE Verified SDVOSB s. There are no subcontracting restrictions to this requirement provided the contract is under $250,000.00. If it goes above 250K then it would be subject to the limitations on subcontracting rules per the FAR and CFR. There did not seem to be a mandatory walk through on the site. I was going to visit the site on Wednesday 10/5 to confirm the scope of work. Would this be ok? There was a non-mandatory site visit for the requirement that was held last week. I have scheduled a final site visit (see below). You can certainly visit the sites in question at your convenience outside of the site visit window However, no POC will be able to provide you with more information or confirm the scope of work. Would you require site supervision or constant presence from the SDVOSB site superintendent? We would have a site superintendent / foreman figured to help meet requirements of OSHA / safety standards at the contractor level. No, SDVOSB site superintendent is not necessary. We require a site superintendent or foreman to ensure OSHA and all applicable safety standards are met for the requirement. Please see SOW section 1.6 Safety Requirements.
