Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, on behalf of Durham VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for Preventive Maintenance and Service / software update for Mark V Provis/ Mark 7 Arterion Medrad Injector systems at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center with Bayer Healthcare LLC in accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 13-106-1(b)(i), Only One Responsible Source. Performance work statement and attachment-one equipment list is appended. The Government intends to award a one-year (1) base contract. The applicable NAICS Code is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument manufacturing) with a size standard of 1000 Employees. The corresponding Product Service Code is J065. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date on or about 28 October 2022 to Bayer Healthcare LLC , 100 Bayer Blvd, Whippany, NJ, 07981. The Durham Veterans Medical Center is seeking a contractor to provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials necessary to furnish Preventive Maintenance and service for ARJO Mobile Lifts, Bathtubs, & Beds equipment. All Field Service Engineers (FSE) performing under this contract must be original equipment manufacturers (OEM) certified and experienced in Bayer Healthcare LLC s injector systems. Additionally, preventive maintenance on the above noted injection systems include calibration of the injector using Bayer's proprietary and copyrighted software. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within seven (7) calendar days of this publication by contacting Paul O. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. This announcement closes 13 October 2022, NLT 1:00 PM EDT.
