- Description
- 1. A Sources Sought is a market research tool being used to determine availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The intent of this sources sought synopsis is to identify all small business, including qualified 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZONE), Woman Owned small business, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses for a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for Material Handling Equipment Repair Services and Preventative maintenance for items ranging from a 2k Forklift to a 70K Fork Lift. The IDIQ will require a contractor to cover select DLA Disposition Services split into regional sites and groups in the United States. Preventative Maintenance: established by the original equipment manufacture will require to inspect and provide necessary recommendations to ensure equipment is operable at all times. Remedial Services: to fix equipment at the request of each site. 2. Attachment 1 lists all sites which are bundled into separate groups as the government intends to solicit a separate requirement for Groups 1-5 for a total of five solicitations. 3. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Synopsis, the Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition is in the Government's best interest. The Government intends to solicit and award to a responsible Firm-Fixed Priced IDIQ Services Contract(s). The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code is 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance). The size standard of this NAICS code is $11M. NAICS code compliance verification will occur if/when quotes are submitted. Quotes are not being submitted at this time. The duration of the contract is anticipated to be for base year plus two option years for a total of three years. A response to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement, nor will it result in your firm's name being added to a plan holder's list to receive a copy of a solicitation. 4. Contractors are reminded that this is a Sources Sought Notice, NOT a solicitation for work, nor is it a request for quotes, rather it is to determine if there is potential for a contract to be set aside for small business or other small business set-aside programs. There is no solicitation available at this time. 5. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms matching the categories referenced above must submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 3 pages in length, single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services. This documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), Unique Entity ID (UEI) and/or Cage Code and statement identifying small business category and current status of the small business classification. Relevant Experience within the last five years, including any contract number, and Government/Agency or firm point of contact (POC) and current telephone number for the POC. Its ability to manage sites across a large geographical footprint as each site listed on Attachment 1 will be grouped into a single contract for each Group 1-5. Identify if you were a subcontractor and the work you actually performed as the sub-contractor. Company sales brochures or marketing packages will not be considered. 6. The submittal package must be received at the office no later than 3:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Electronic submissions of the Statement of Capabilities Packages can be sent electronically to Jacob S. Curtiss at Jacob.Curtiss@dla.mil. 7. LATE RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED: The Government WILL NOT provide a debriefing on the results of the survey. All information submitted will be held in a confidential manner and will only be used for the purpose intended. Points of contact listed may be contacted for purpose of verifying performance.
