Description
The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will issue a solicitation for maintenance services for the PMSC Switchgear and MV Transformer located at the new Embassy compound. The Contractor shall maintain the PMSC Switchgear and MV Transformer in a safe, reliable and efficient operating condition. The U.S. Embassy located in Guatemala City requires PMSC Switchgear and MV Transformer Preventative Maintenance (PM) services. The Contractor shall also provide further evaluation of the overall functionality of the switchgear and transformer based on concerns and input provided to the Contractor by the Facility Manager (FM) and Facility Maintenance Staff (FMS). The objective of scheduled preventive maintenance is to eliminate system malfunction, breakdown and deterioration. The work required shall include but is not limited to: Preventative Maintenance; Investigation & troubleshooting; and others. PMSC Switchgear and MV Transformer Services shall result in all systems serviced under this contract being in good operational condition when the work is completed. The Contractor shall provide all necessary managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel as well as all transportation, tools, instrumentation, equipment and supplies required to perform the services. The Contractor shall provide the services of qualified, trained, manufacturer certified technicians to perform the required services. All work shall be performed causing no damage to buildings or property; endangers none of the building occupants or workers during these tasks; and leaves the areas safe for occupancy. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will launch the solicitation on www.SAM.gov, Contract Opportunities website when it is available. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. �
