Description
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Jacksonville, FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13 to The Sewing Box to construct eighty-eight (88) Aviation Style NOMEX Ceremonial show suites. Fifty-five (55) Blue Flight Suits (Officer), twenty-four (24) Navy Blue Flight Suits (Bert), and nine (9) Navy Blue Flight Suits (Crew Chief). Total of eighty-eight (88) tailor made Aviator style NOMEX flight suits with embroidery and Blue Angels Crest, as well as show Commitment Clothing and Enlisted Dickie Style Uniform Alterations for current and new team members of the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS) Blue Angels for Naval Air Station (NAS), Pensacola Florida. Construction will be done to ensure Blue Angel Uniforms for show season FY 2022 are maintained in accordance with United States Navy Uniform Regulations NAVPERS 156651, Chapter 6, Section 2, Article 6201.4 and Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NAVFLIGHTDEMRONSQ)/Blue Angels Officer and Enlisted official squadron uniform. Conditions of this Description of Requirement (DOR) includes the alterations of the Blue Angels Officer�s and Fat Albert Enlisted flight/show suits. Because of the Blue Angel Air show schedule, the vendor needs to be flexible to accommodate our schedule for current team alterations on an as needed basis. The United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron showcases the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach. The unique organizational clothing is vital to meeting this mission requirement. The flight/show suit are recognized throughout the United States and other countries as a Blue Angel Pilot and/or team member, because of the Blue Angel Crest (trademark) the vendor is entrusted to not produce for other customers. The flight/show suit that is constructed is the Sewing Box design. The only supplier identified by the Navy who is capable of fulfilling the requirement is The Sewing Box. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that this supply falls under is 315990 with a size standard of 500 (employees) and the PSC 8475. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the company�s ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received within three (3) days after the publication of this notice, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
