- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SYNOPSIS FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY; NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. SOLICITATION HDEC0223R0001 The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is seeking sources capable of meeting the requirements to provide a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables (FF&V), packaged salads, live potted plants, and ornamental produce (fresh Indian corn, fresh gourds; fresh wreaths and garland, or fresh pine roping) to a total of 14 stores located in the states of Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 311991- Perishable Prepared Food Manufacturing. DeCA is a Department of Defense (DoD) agency, headquartered at Fort Lee, Virginia that operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees, disabled veterans, and other eligible beneficiaries. The attached form is a request for industry feedback. We encourage your input in completing this form. This is for informational purposes only and is not a solicitation for offers. After collection of this feedback, a notice will be issued on the System for Award Management (SAM) website to announce the subsequent issuance of a formal solicitation which will also be posted on the SAM.gov (https://sam.gov/) website. Completed survey form responses to this request for information are due back no later than 3:00 p.m. EDT/EST/Local Time (Fort Lee, Virginia) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 and may be submitted via email to mprc.commodities@deca.mil. We encourage companies to explore the possibility of creating ""teaming"" arrangements with other companies and competing in the upcoming solicitation or inquire with other companies on subcontracting possibilities.
