Description
Intent to Sole Source IAW 5.301(d)(1) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) on behalf of VISN 20 Northwest Healthcare Network intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price one (1) year contract to provide software license, maintenance and technical support of the Synaptive Modus V Surgical Robot in service at the Portland VA Medical Center with FIDELIS SUSTAINABILITY DISTRIBUTION LLC, 204 W. Spear Street Suite 3319, Carson City, NV 89703 a verified SDVOSB under the authority of 41 USC §3304(a)(5), 38 U.S. Code § 8127(c), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute). COs may use the non-competitive (sole source) procedures authorized in VAAR 819.7007 or 819.7008 up to $5,000,000. VAAR procedures for sole source to an SDVOSB as found in 819.7007(b) does not require a determination that only one SDVOSB is capable to fulfill the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation will be made. Interested parties verified in SAM may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement that includes an authorization/certification letter from the OEM manufacturer/supplier SYNAPTIVE INC verifying ability to provide software license, maintenance and support services in compliance with OEM specifications: NLT the close date of this notification. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required OEM services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C26023Q0054 Special Notice of Intent. After notification close date Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with FIDELIS SUSTAINABILITY DISTRIBUTION LLC. Phone calls will NOT be accepted.
