DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMMODITIES AND SERVICES ACQUISITION SERVICE (CSAS) DENVER LOGISTICS CENTER (DLC) REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) I. INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS) and Denver Logistics Center (DLC) located in Golden, Colorado manage holistic supply chain management for VA National Audiology, Prosthetics, Hearing Aid and Telehealth Programs, and supports VA and Other Government Agencies (OGA) with professional acquisition and logistical services. VA CSAS and DLC procures, stocks, and distributes worldwide commodities including hearing aids, hearing aid accessories, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, batteries, prosthetic socks, orthotic soft goods, aids for the visually impaired and Home Telehealth equipment and peripherals. VA CSAS currently administers seven (7) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Hearing Aid Repair and Accessories (HARA) contracts which expire May 31, 2023. II. RFI DISCLOSURE This is a sources sought RFI only. It is not an invitation to submit any offers or bids. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Do not submit any offers or bids in response to this RFI. Responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by VA to form a binding contract. VA will not award a contract on the basis of this RFI nor will it pay for information or comments submitted to VA in response to this RFI.  The purpose of this RFI is to determine if Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and Small Businesses are interested and capable to provide hearing aid parts & accessories. To further clarify: While the current contracts are for hearing aid repair services and parts and accessories supplies, this RFI is seeking information on hearing aid parts & accessories only. Attached is Draft Performance Work Statement. If you have any comments or concerns regarding the Draft Performance Work Statement, please address them in your RFI response. The request for proposal (RFP) will be posted to Contract Opportunities at sam.gov in the near future. III. SCOPE As stated above, this requirement is for hearing aid parts & accessories supplies only for utilization by audiology clinics at VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) nationwide. VA s objective is to ensure availability and consistency of these products for nationwide use and to provide quality products at lower than commercial prices. VA CSAS intends to issue multiple award firm-fixed price IDIQ contracts at a future date. The contracts are anticipated to cover national requirements for five one-year ordering periods. Contracts may be used as a mandatory source by VA medical facilities and on a non-mandatory basis by OGA s that establish an Interagency Agreement with VA. Hearing aid parts & accessories will be ordered in such quantities as needed to fill agency requirements in accordance with contract terms and will be for delivery by the DLC to the Veterans. The Contractor will be obligated to deliver all supplies that may be ordered during the term of the contract. There is no expressed or implied guarantee that specific quantities will be ordered regularly. The hearing aid parts & accessories supply requirement is assigned North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334510 Electromedical And Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. The size standard is 1,250. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. IV.
