- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105-2303 intends to award a firm fixed price contract that extents the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) product Maintenance and Services that is required to correctly operate, the Government Owned, Medrad Angiographic Injectors at the Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center. The vendor must have Local to the State of Michigan, Bayer Medrad Factory Trained Field Service Engineers. All maintenance and services provided under this contract must be performed in conformance with the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Bayer Healthcare, LLC the Original Equipment Manufacturer, standards, and specifications. In accordance with FAR, Section 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award to the following Vendor: Bayer Healthcare, LLC 100 Bayer Boulevard Whippany, NJ 07981-1544 The Period of Performance (POP) will be from November 10, 2022, to November 09, 2022. The Associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811210, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The applicable index entries include the following: Diagnostic imaging equipment repair and maintenance services Precision equipment calibration Surgical instrument repair and maintenance services The Business Size Standards in Millions of Dollars is calculated at $22 million dollars. The Sole Source Rationale is based on the Government s belief that Bayer Healthcare, LLC currently holds all the proprietary rights on the instruments, software, supplies, and warranty services that is currently utilized at the Charles S. Kettles VA Healthcare, LLC. Technicians are required to hold a current OEM Certificate to conduct any work at the Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center. This Notice of Intent is not a Solicitation or Request for Competitive Quotes or Offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Federal Government. Responses must be received no later than 2:00 pm (EST) on November 06, 2022. All responses shall be submitted to Michele R.
