N0016422Q0037 � SOLE SOURCE � PROCUREMENT OF ULTRA-LOK BAND CLAMPS � PSC 4730 � NAICS 332722 Issue Date: 15 February 2022 � Closing Date: 17 March 2022 � 2:00 PM EDT The proposed contract action is for the procurement of Ultra-Lok Band Clamps for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Band-It-IDEX, Incorporated, 4799 Dahlia St., Denver, CO 80216-3222 �(CAGE 3BBM2) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a) (2). This is being sole sourced because it is a modified commercial item specifically designed for the TR-343 Sonar Transducer. The designs are owned by Band-It-IDEX and therefore cannot be produced by any other vendors. If alternate vendors are selected, their design would have to undergo full first article testing that could take up to one year to complete. Furthermore, if the new vendor is not capable of meeting the requirements there is high likelihood that ship schedules will be significantly impacted. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220 or via the internet at https://www.sam.gov. Contract Opportunities on https://sam.gov/ has officially replaced Beta.sam.gov All changes that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Contract Opportunities on https://sam.gov/.
