- Description
- Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick (SAC-F) Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL) Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) 1. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Center for Women Veterans (CWV), is conducting a market survey seeking information regarding Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) or Near-Field Communication (NFC) Devices to track real-time data around visitor s footprints on the show floor for Outreach and Speaking engagement events. Such tools are needed to allow the CWV exhibitors to track exactly who is visiting our booth to offer insight into how attendees are moving and interacting around our location. 2. Background: CWV s mission is to monitor and coordinate VA s administration of health care, benefits, services, and programs for women Veterans. We serve as an advocate for cultural transformation and to raise awareness of the responsibility to treat women Veterans with dignity and respect. 3. Scope of Inquiry: The purpose of this RFI is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all business sizes capable of providing the supplies outlined in this document and Attachment 1_RFID_NFC Device RFI Questionnaire Respondent. The responses to this RFI will help in possible future acquisition strategy and assist in determining whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Furthermore, the responses obtained will assist the VA with ensuring any final requirement if any, are clearly defined to mitigate potential cost, schedule, and performance risk. The Government believes industry feedback is important and is receptive to comments and lessons learned from industry partners highlighting potential technical problem areas associated with this effort. 4. Other: This Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI. In addition, the Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided. 5. Submission Instruction: Respondents shall fill out and submit Attachment 1_RFID_NFC Device RFI Questionnaire Respondent excel spreadsheet and provide any company brochures electrically to Ashley Nguyen at ashley.nguyen@va.gov and Tonya Modlin at tonya.modlin@va.gov not later than November 30, 2022, by 12:00 p.m., eastern time. Subject line should state: RFI Radio Frequency Identification (RFID): 36C10X23Q0027. Questions in support of this RFI will not be entertained at this time.
