Sources Sought - 36C24223Q0098 NYH St Albans Campus, Queens NY Repair of Cake Lift Elevator Laundry Hoist The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 2 is issuing this Sources Sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for the Repair of cake lift elevator laundry Hoist at the VA St. Albans Community Living Center, 179-00 Linden Boulevard, Jamaica (Queens), NY 11425. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 238990. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Scope of Work: The repair of the hoist is essential to the laundry operation. The hoist conveys the compressed linen that is exited from the last tunnel pocket.   The weight of the linen that gets compressed weights approximately 210-250 lbs. The operators are unable to break apart the compressed linen called a cake and transfer to the dryers completing the washing cycle. The laundry has been down for 3 months as the mechanics are unable to maneuver through the tight enclosed spaces too repair / replace hoist.  Rail Repair: Requires two men, 2 days during normal working schedule. They will require a lift. All parts and repairs will be made on site. Rail will be ready for operation at the beginning of each day by 5:00 am. the 2 techs on site for 2 days to assessment and repair of Milnor cake elevator, additional parts and service may be required. If man lift equipment is required to work on the equipment. Emergency Rail Repair: The cake Elevator Milnor system currently has several issues that are dangerous to machinery and employees., the Cake elevator do not lift the laundry cake or move, an assessment of the Milnor cake elevator equipment, is required the cake elevator do not lift or move the cake to the next station. The technicians will repair the Cake Milnor elevator and ensure the Elevator can lift the Wet linen cake and move it to the next station or equipment dryers. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide a Capability Statement, including the following information: Organization name, DUNS number, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and socioeconomic status of the organization. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) must be verified at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated; 2) secure and apply the full range of corporate financial, human capital, and technical resources required to successfully perform similar requirements; 3) implement a successful project management plan that includes: compliance; cost containment; meeting and tracking performance; and risk mitigation; and 4) provide services under a performance based service acquisition contract. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
