- The purpose of this sources sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for Small Businesses. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, size standard $22,000,000. The Department of Veterans Affairs will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone and Women-Owned small business concerns. The purpose of this statement of work is to effectively contract with a company that can provide service maintenance to VA research equipment, under a single agreement. The contractor shall be able to provide firm-fixed-price full service Equipment Maintenance Agreements performed by each agency s preferred service providers. Contractor is responsible for maintaining instruments fully operational and in accordance with OEM specifications. The coverage will vary in accordance with the OEM specifications and may include a comprehensive maintenance and repair, including on-site repair service, emergency repair, parts, labor, travel, telephone support for troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance visits per OEM specifications. Services should be performed between normal business hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. This coverage shall include; Parts, Labor, Travel, Return Shipping, Emergency On-Site Service, Preventative Maintenance, Access to Manufacturer Technical Support, Loaner Instruments and/or Components, OEM Sponsored (non-billable) Updates, On-line Service Request Portal and Real-Time Tracking, Access to Multiple Parts Sources, Access to Manufacturer and ISO Service Engineers, Ability to incorporate preferred service providers.
