Description

Construction services will consist of maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channels at Santa Barbara Harbor in Santa Barbara, CA. Dredge material will be placed on down coast� beaches. Dredging at Santa Barbara Harbor occurs biannually, generally in the late fall� (November/December) and early spring (March/April). A typical dredge cycle volume is 100,000 -� 120,000 cubic yards. Dredging will occur in depths up to -35' MLLW in an exposed, open ocean� environment. For the past 15-20 years the Santa Barbara Air Pollution Control District has only� allowed electric dredges to work inside Santa Barbara Harbor. Cost range for this project is $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued under Full and Open Competition without Exclusion of Sources. Sub-contracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when� the award amount exceeds $1,500,000.00. Failure to submit an acceptable sub-contracting plan may� make the bidder ineligible for award of the contact. The solicitation will be available on or about November 15, 2022. Plans and specifications will� not be provided in hard paper copy. The solicitation and all amendments for this Invitation for� bids will be posted and available for downloading on www.fbo.gov. It is the bidder's responsibility to check www.fbo.gov frequently for any amendments or changes to� the solicitation. The Government is not responsible for any loss of internet connectivity or for an� offerors inability to access the documents posted at the referenced website.
