Description

This notice serves as Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's intent to sole source the following requirement: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) requires the repair, testing and calibration of it's Chant V-7K41 Pull Test machine. This notice of intent to sole source is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The order will be awarded IAW FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No hard copy Request for Quote (RFQ) will be prepared or made available for distribution. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling this requirement. Chant Engineering Co. Inc. (CAGE: 7K419)� is the original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data - including drawings, equipment, software and approved processes required to perform the work. This is not an RFQ, but any firm believing it has the capability to perform these services will be considered by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Capability statements may be submitted only to charles.e.chase23.civ@us.navy.mil. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this notice and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy and reliability of the services provided.
