- Description
- Amendment 2: Extend Solicitation Close date from 11/16/2022 to 11/21/2022 to support Vendor Question and Response Question: In reference to solicitation N61331-23-T-TB04 MK8 Safety Relief Valve, clarification on how the factory part (532T1-4DB-1) is altered. See below: The porting on the female end is depicted in the drawing as having a MS33649 port instead of the AND10050 port that comes on the 532T1-4DB-1. Assuming the modification was to port the end to the proper spec. However, the manufacturer lists a part number 532T1-4DJ-1 that comes already ported with the MS33649 port. If bought it wouldnt need to be modified. The only other difference between the altered item depicted in the drawing and the factory part is the male threads are slightly different. The factory thread is .4375-20 UNJF and the drawing lists .438-20UNF-2A. A male UNJF threaded will have problems threading into a Female UNF thread. There will be an interference fit at the thread minor diameter. Is this a typo on the drawing or are they wanting to modify the male threads? Answer: If everything else is identical, the suggested PN substitution for item 1 would be SAT. We will still require the thread modification from UNFJ to UNF (item 2). The part mates with another UNF threaded part and UNFJ threads would be incompatible. End of amendment 2 Amendment 1: Removal of first article requirement. Addition of test procedure Document End of amendment 1 MK8 Safety Relief Valves --Total Women Owned Small Business Set Aside Provide CAGE code when Requesting Documents Scope: Fabricate twenty (20) valve, safety relief in accordance with Attachment 1, NAVSEA DRAWING 7110162, REV F.
