- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, nor is it a request seeking contractors to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. �There is no risk to you for participating in this survey. Response to this market survey is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey and any follow-on information requests. The U.S. Government (USG) will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.� However, this is an important opportunity for Industry to influence the application of requirements and the full range of other elements supporting the acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. There is no formal solicitation available at this time, no solicitation will be issued against this notice, and this request for information does not obligate the USG to issue a solicitation. Respondents shall not be notified of the results of the survey or results of information submitted. The purpose of this market survey questionnaire is to collect and obtain written information relative to industry capability to satisfy the Program Executive Office for Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS), Product Manager Mobile Protected Firepower (PdM MPF) requirement to provide Spare parts to fulfil a combination of (Critical Stockage List (CSL), Authorized Stockage List (ASL) and Spares Acquisition Integrated with Production (SAIP). PdM MPF will require a minimum of 2 ordering years of spare parts in support the initial fielding of the MPF. The MPF system characteristics include the following: Tracked vehicle with a minimum crew of three soldiers (commander, gunner, and driver); Crew protection from small arms, heavy machine gun, overhead artillery, underbelly mine, side improvised explosive device (IED), and kinetic energy (KE) threats; utilizing ammunition available in the Department of Defense (DoD) inventory, a main gun applying precise, lethal, long-range fire; Vehicle capable of performing while on the move, in day, night, and all-weather conditions; Sufficient platform speed and mobility to successfully keep pace with other vehicles in the formation; Communications system, which permits the simultaneous ability to transmit or receive both internal and external communications among all vehicle occupants; Sufficient size, weight, power and cooling (SWaP-C) to facilitate integration of IBCT tactical network modernization technologies. Spares in support of MPF vehicles and PdM MPF will primarily include: Supply Chain Management which involves performing inventory / property accountability, warehousing, purchasing, issuing, packaging, kitting, shipping, disposal of, obsolescence management of, and Configuration Management of parts to support the MPF Vehicles. This includes Basic Issue Items (BII) and Special Tools & Test Equipment (STTE) based upon consumption history, forecasts, and inventory management functions. Wholesale Supply also involves Managing inventory to ensure compliance with PdM MPF requirements, �ordering parts and materials approved through an Engineering Change Order (ECO) / Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
