- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Services: Beds/Stretchers Maintenance & Repair THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), VISN 8 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract for the Bay Pines VA Health Care System (BPVAHCS), 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744. This proposed contract action is to procure preventative maintenance and repair of Stryker s Acute Care line of beds and stretchers at BPVAHCS: Item Quantity Model Model Description 1 145 3005 S3 2 3 1061 Gynnie OB/GYN Stretcher 3 56 1125 Prime Zoom 4 1 5051 Eye Stretcher Chair 5 2 5051 Stretcher Chair 6 55 1115 Prime Big Wheel 7 7 1089 Eye Surgery Stretcher 8 112 FL28 GoBed Classification Code: J065 NAICS: 811210 Period of Performance: December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2023, with four, one-year options. The Government intends to award a fixed-price contract to Stryker Corporation, 1901 Romence Road Parkway, Portage, MI 49002. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Annette Whitfield-Johnson, Annette.whitfield@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competitively sensitive information contained in their response. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated.
