- This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid, Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described herein. Your response to this sources sought will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the government's use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received by the Government for this Sources Sought. The information provided by contractors may be used by the Navy in developing its acquisition strategy, Performance Work Statement (PWS) and/or Performance Specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought notice or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought notice. Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled ""Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose,"" this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice for Information Only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This sources sought notice is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. Background: Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk is seeking information on qualified and experienced sources for planning purposes in an effort to derive a contract vehicle that will provide contractor services to provide cable maintenance and technical support services at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola (NASP), NASP Corry Station and NASP Saufley, Florida. The anticipated contract type is a Firm Fixed-Price contract under NAICS code 517111, Wired Telecommunications Carriers, which has a size standard of 1,500 employees. The period of performance for the anticipated contract is a twelve (12) month base period with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods and with the inclusion of FAR Clause 52.217-8 an additional six (6) months of performance if required by the Government. The attached draft PWS addresses the required tasks, knowledge/skill/ability of contractor personnel, and outline of support required. The proposed contract vehicle will provide all the required supplies and support services. At this time, this PWS is not finalized and may be revised prior to the publication of the solicitation. Responses to this sources sought notice shall reference the Opportunity Name, �Cable Maintenance and Technical Support Services,� and shall include the following information in this format: 1. Company name, address, Point of Contact Name, phone number, fax number and email address. 2. Contractor and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. 3. Size of Business - Large Business, Small Business, 8(a), HubZone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business, and/or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. 4. Capability statement displaying the contractor's ability to provide the minimum requirements of the PWS to include past performance information and ability to interface and provide the required equipment. 5. If the services can be solicited from a GSA or SeaPort-NxG contract vehicle, provide the applicable contract number together with contracting experience under GSA or Seaport NxG (including task order numbers, award date, period of performance, sub or prime, and a brief description). 6. Identify an estimated Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and associated pricing for the required tasks and qualifications. 7. Provide any questions, comments, feedback regarding the draft PWS, planned contract type or any other associated information. 8. Proof of authorization from BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. to provide the required maintenance and technical support services. Standard company brochures will be reviewed. Submissions are not to exceed five (5) type written pages in to less than 10 point font. Responses should be emailed to Robert Babcock at Robert.j.babcock25.civ@us.navy.mil by 11:00 AM ET on 14 December 2022. Again, this is not a request for a proposal. Respondents will not be notified of the results and the Government is not required to answer any questions submitted in regards to this sources sought notice. Please note the information within the pre-solicitation synopsis will be updated and/or may change prior to an official synopsis/solicitation, if any.
