Description

The United States Government, through the Regional Contracting Office, Italy (Vicenza Office), intends to procure a contract for the subject as follows. The intent of this letter is to advertise the upcoming requirement for as many potentially interested companies. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES NEEDED: This is a requirement to provide regular scheduled maintenance, between-occupancy maintenance, grounds maintenance, painting, cleaning of gutters and drain pipes, pest control and other various maintenance works as well as unscheduled service calls for Army Family Housing and Government Leased Housing. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: The work under this contract will be performed at Army Family Housing (AFH) and Leased Housing (LH) associated with the USAG - ITALY, VICENZA. METHOD OF CONTRACTING AND AWARD: The method of award will be clearly indicated in the Request for Quote (RFQ). TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fixed Price (FFP) with Time and Material CLINs DURATION OF CONTRACT: The contract period of performance is for a base period and two ordering periods. INDUSTRY DAY: An Industry Day open forum for questions, concerns and general dialogue with Industry will be held on Caserma Ederle, Vicenza on 21 November 2022 at 09:00 hrs. Details for meeting point and organization will be separately emailed to all who submitted their interest in participating to the Industry Day. a) DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR INDUSTRY DAY: What is foreseen schedule for construction work on Villaggio? Discuss Industry standards of response times to service calls for the sample table provided (reference Attachment 1 �Draft Response Times Table�). Government�s explanation of a Time and Material CLIN for unscheduled service calls. �Preliminary Labor categories identified for this requirement are the following: Electrician Carpenter Gardner Janitor Locksmith Metal worker Painter Plumber Masonry HVAC Technician Entomologist CATV Technician Discuss any other category/categories suggested by Industry to perform these services _________________________________________________________ NOTE: It is recommended to carefully read the pre-solicitation notice and the list of discussion items here above, prior to attending the Industry Day. This information forms the baseline for Industry Day discussions. Please submit any questions/comments/concerns BY 04:00 P.M. ON 09 November 2022 to Francesca.candia.ln@army.mil and leslie.d.dobson2.civ@army.mil THE GOVERNMENT WILL ATTEMPT TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS THAT ARE SUBMITTED PRIOR THE INDUSTRY DAY ACTIVITIES.� QUESTIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL BE ANSWERED, AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE, AFTER THE INDUSTRY DAY. b) HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Attendees need to confirm names of the person(s) (maximum of 2 from each company) that will be present at the Industry Day NOT LATER THAN 04:00 P.M. on 09 November 2022 to the following email addresses: Francesca.candia.ln@army.mil and leslie.d.dobson2.civ@army.mil Late registration submissions and late arrivals at Industry Day will not be granted entry. Please bring appropriate identification, i.e. carta d�identita�, or passport, to be identified at the gate and be granted access to the security checkpoints. SAM Registration. In order to register on SAM website ( https://www.sam.gov ), vendors must have a New Unique Entity Identifier (UEI - For more information about UEI, please visit https://www.gsa.gov/about-us/organization/federalacquisition-service/office-of-systems-management/integrated-award-environment-iae/iae-systems-informationkit/unique-entity-identifier-update) and a NATO code (obtainable on https://eportal.nspa.nato.int/AC135Public/scage/CageList.aspx). The successful offeror to be awarded this contract MUST be currently registered in the SAM database. NOTE: If the decision is made to issue a Solicitation for this requirement, additional information regarding the Performance of Work will accompany the solicitation. This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
