- Description
- JEPAC requires Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to accomplish vulnerability assessment and analytical support as follows: 1.2.1 Conduct relevant vulnerability assessments of platforms, networked systems, and joint force employment to assess EW/EMS readiness and identify capability gaps and limitations. Author assessment reports that deliver timely results to Services and Combatant Commands and incorporate the highest level of scientific rigor and statistical relevance at multiple classification levels. 1.2.2. Work with Service and Combatant Commands to advance and improve Blue Forces (BLUFOR) survivability capabilities. Develop and implement solutions and mitigation strategies for identified capability gaps and limitations. Conduct routine requirements working groups and technical information exchanges to identify and prioritize Service and Combatant Command priority issues. 1.2.3 Develop, coordinate, and present Threat-Representative Environments at joint events worldwide that meet Service and Combatant Command exercise and training objectives while providing JEPAC with high-quality data to extract relevant results. Conduct continuous research on rapidly evolving EW/EMS threats with an emphasis in Electronic Attack (EA), Passive Detection Systems (PDS), Directed Energy (DE), Cover, Concealment, and Deception (CC&D), and other emerging technologies and capabilities. 1.2.4 Bolster EW/EMS training across the joint force. Develop and teach cutting-edge EW/EMS curriculum tailored to JEPACs mission for courses such as the Joint Electronic Warfare Theater Operations Course (JEWTOC), Service Weapons Schools, joint conferences, etc. Present JEPAC assessment roadshows at select venues in order to reach key EW/EMS stakeholders. 1.2.5 Plan, conduct, and report on Integrated Cyber Electronic Warfare (ICEW) vulnerability assessments. Work with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize candidate platforms, exercises, and training events for ICEW assessments. 1.2.6 Research and provide subject matter expertise to the DoD EW/EMS enterprise on the full spectrum of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) Environments. Advocate for critical LVC capabilities that will help the joint force receive high-end EW/EMS training. 1.2.7 Assist Military and Civilian leadership in development of courses of action to transition mitigation strategies to Service, CCMDs, and other Defense agencies.
