Description
Cancun Proposers Day EVENT DATE: 20 December 2022 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 14 December 2022, 5:00pm ET REGISTRATION WEBSITE: https://events.sa-meetings.com/CancunPD2022 TECHNICAL POC: Dr. Jeff Rogers, STO Program Manager E-MAIL: DARPA-SN-23-26@darpa.mil PROPOSERS DAY: DARPA will host a Proposers Day in support of Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) HR001123S0014 for the Cancun, program on December 20, 2022, at the Strategic Analysis Executive Conference Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the Cancun program, promote additional discussion on this topic, and address questions from potential proposers. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Cancun program is to create distributable nodes to measure the radio high frequency (HF) environment for improved warfighter situational awareness in the HF radio band. The low size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) of these nodes will enable cost-effective wide-area deployments. The Cancun nodes will measure the state of the ionosphere using a sounding function, as well as record and relay portions of the HF radio band for analysis. The primary challenge in Cancun is the coordination of large numbers of Cancun units deployed over distances of well over 1,000 kilometers. Cancun will provide a command and control (C2) network and planning tools to address this challenge. The C2 hardware solution may be to utilize existing wired infrastructure or a wireless solution. Communications latency will be an important parameter for this network. The mission planning tool will be developed with warfighter input to optimize functionality. Technologies developed under the Cancun program will transition to the services. See BAA HR001123S0014 for more information. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: DARPA hosts Proposers Days to promote teaming arrangements between researchers, provide potential performers with information on whether and how they might respond to the Governments research and development solicitations, and increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. Therefore, Proposers Days are open only to registered potential proposers. Participants must register NLT December 14, 2022, 5:00 p.m. ET at the following website: https://events.sa-meetings.com/CancunPD2022.
