- Description
- THIS IS A PRE-SOLJCITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The Oklahoma VA intends to solicit for BRAND OR EQUAL to the Satorius IncuCyte S3 HD/2CLR Live Cell Analysis system. The procurement will be unrestricted under NAICS 334516 OR 811219. The solicitation will be posted on or around 12/14/22 (this date is subject to change). REQUIREMENTS: Equivalent systems meeting ALL of the specifications below will be considered. Vendor must address the VA s requirements below and describe how their system is equivalent to the following in order to be considered. The VA requires a system that has assess cell viability, immune cell activity/function (e.g. phagocytosis), immune cell activation & proliferation, and morphological analysis. The Sartorius System has a unique patented technology required by the VA which allows investigators in determining the cell morphology, cell health, movement, and function of cell models, and in studying complex cell-cell interactions from hours to days over time by live cell imaging and analysis data in real-time. The Incucyte system offers imaging of large volume of mammalian cell incubator and has the optics move under static conditions where the samples are not moved or disturbed. Movement of cells during imaging can impact the study and study results as it is critical for certain experiments that the plates do not move while imaging is performed over time. This is a critical requirement. Other systems capture images by moving the samples in a single plate continuously over fixed optics which is not acceptable to the VA as specific studies such as clonogenic assay and assessment of drug effect on tumorspheres, etc. can be affected by movement of the plate. The VA requires all of the experiment to be performed with any moving of plates from the imaging system to an incubator and with other systems, the plates need to be moved from the imaging system to the mini incubator by the robotic arm of the Biospa. This moving of plates from imaging system to incubator back-and-forth can result in introducing variabilities that can jeopardize the study and in the interpretation of the study results. The automation of the IncyCyte S3 system is required by the investigators as it allows acquiring and analyzing phase-contrast and fluorescence images of the cells without disturbing the cells or removing the cells from the incubator. The IncuCyte suite of applications will be used in areas of oncology, immune-oncology, immunology, neuroscience, aging, diabetes, drug discovery, and nanomedicine. Using the system, investigating various aspects of cell functions and behavior and response to treatment is feasible that could lead to developing novel therapeutics, and new areas of research. The equipment s unique design has a microscope with fixed sample stage that offers uninterrupted incubation of a range of cell types - from proliferating tumor cells to non-adherent immune cells to sensitive primary cells. The system is versatile and has interchangeable trays to accommodate tissue culture flasks, dishes, or multi-well plates. The IncuCyte S3 system allows the visualization (by phase-contrast and fluorescence) and monitoring of cell health and proliferation (eg: cell counting, apoptosis, tumor spheroid, cell-cycle, etc.); cell function (eg: phagocytosis, NETosis, angiogenesis, immune cell killing, neuronal activity, antibody internalization, etc.); cell movement and morphology (eg: scratch wound assay, cell migration and invasion, neurite outgrowth, immune cell activation, etc.); binding of biological and non-biological materials (drug, nanoparticle, cell-particle interaction, antibody binding to cell, etc.); measurement of receptor-mediated binding and entry into cells (nanoparticles, quantum-dots, virus, bacteria, metals, antibodies, etc.); and intracellular localization and trafficking (siRNA, plasmid DNA, nanoparticles, virus, bacteria, spores, etc.). All of these biological and functional activities can be captured in real-time using the time-lapse system and the data presented visually in image format and numerically in graphical format. The IncuCyte S3 system also includes the requisite software system for generating customer-specific protocols. Since the protocols can be automated, once the experiment in particular the time-lapse imaging starts, the user can walk-away from the instrument while the samples are being processed, which frees the user to perform other experiments or analyses. Additionally an proposed equivalent product must describe in detail their ability to meet the salient characteristics of the following: -IncuCyte S3 HD/2CLR System Package or -Onsite Installation and Training -IncuCyte S3 Controller Unit -IncuCyte S3 Gantry Unit -HD/ Dual Color filter cube -IncuCyte S3 Base Software w/ Phase Object Counting and Whole well Imaging -IncuCyte S3 Fluorescent Acquisition/Processing Software Module -S3 Calibration Tray -Includes three (3) microscope objectives: IncuCyte S3 4x, 10x and 20x -Three (3) Microplate Vessel Trays -IncuCyte Spheroid Software Module for S3 THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITAITON NOTICE ONLY. THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ). VENDORS SHALL NOT SUBMIT FORMAL PROPOSALS UNTIL THE OFFICIAL RFQ IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE.
