The PRCRP seeks responses from scientists, clinicians, cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers in the topic areas funded by PRCRP (see below). Information received will be considered in the development of strategic planning initiatives. Fiscal Year 2022 PRCRP Topic Areas Bladder cancer Blood cancers Brain cancer Colorectal cancer Endometrial cancer Esophageal cancer Germ Cell cancers Head and neck cancers Liver cancer Lymphoma Mesothelioma Metastatic cancers Myeloma Neuroblastoma Pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancers Pediatric brain tumors Stomach cancer Sarcoma Thyroid cancer 3.0 BACKGROUND: In Fiscal Year (FY) 2020, the PRCRP offered the Behavioral Health Science Award (BHSA) for the first time to support innovative research and high-reward studies that span the spectrum of behavioral health science including prevention, quality of life, symptom management, resilience, and psychosocial issues related to cancer diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The overall goal of the BHSA is to advance behavioral health cancer science and fill gaps in the understanding of survivorship, including investigations into the psychological health and well-being of those affected by cancer (e.g., patients, family members). Between FY20-FY21, PRCRP has invested $7 million for 6 projects. The PRCRP intends to hold a State of the Science and Patient Care Stakeholders meeting where individuals (stakeholders) with relevant expertise and experience in PRCRP cancers will be brought together to identify knowledge gaps to advance the field of cancer QoL, improve survivorship, and enhance patient care and outcomes. 4.0 RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Please provide responses to this RFI by clicking on the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PRCRP_RFI_QoL_SH_Mtg_April2023 It is anticipated that your input will take 20-25 minutes. 5.0 CONTACT INFORMATION: Any and all questions related to this RFI shall be directed to Mr. Jared Acre via email at jared.d.acre.civ@health.mil . All responses shall be submitted by no later than 31 January 2023.
