- Description
- See Attachment for full description. The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) is hereby issuing a RFI on behalf of the U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS 300), to conduct market research in support of preliminary planning for the acquisition of the Auxiliary Personnel Lighter Small (APL(S)). These craft are currently in use by U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Pacific Fleet Command. Design and construction of one (1) APL(S) craft is anticipated to be awarded initially, with options for two (2) additional APL(S) craft. The RFI responses will assist NAVSEA in developing and further defining future procurement and acquisition strategies. RFI responses will also serve as a means for shipyards to communicate their design and construction capabilities, as well as their interest in participation under a potential RFP. Please note that only shipyards located in the U.S. will be eligible to submit a proposal should an RFP be issued for APL(S). The RFI has been updated to extend the response deadline by seven (7) days, to 23 DEC 2022 at 1600 EST.
