- ANNOUNCEMENT: The Army�s Network-Cross Functional Team, in collaboration with Program Executive Office C3T, will host a network-related technical exchange meeting (TEM) on December 7-8, 2022 in Nashville, TN, to discuss Capability Sets 25 and 27 development priority efforts and focus areas. The TEM 9 discussion will be focused on both Pacific and European theater of operations, including warfighter perspectives, lessons learned and lessons applied for unified network and data centric modernization priorities and experimentation. In addition to the general session taking place on 8 December, there will be targeted technology breakout sessions on topics that may include network transport (including family of terminals approach), Unified Network Operations (UNO), CMOSS, waveform development, data/cloud, and modern security architecture on the afternoon of 7 December. The Army will provide a recap of FY22 experimentation efforts, and highlight FY23 experimentation projections. TOPICS: As with previous odd number TEMs, TEM 9 will be structured to inform industry�s research and development efforts to align with Capability Set design goals and priorities. Although the agenda is still being formulated, topical focus areas of this event will include: Family of Terminals (FoT), Unified Network Operations (UNO), data/cloud, waveform development/integration, modern security architecture approaches, and more. PLEASE NOTE: TEM 9 will not present specific white paper topics. However, the discussions may inform future white paper solicitations. This event is meant for a technical audience, to include systems engineers, architecture experts, data experts, and integrators. Each session will offer an opportunity for an in-depth discussion between audience members, Army network technical experts, and user community representatives. This will enable vendors, in an open session, to ask questions for clarification, operational understanding, and technical understanding. Each topical session will have a moderated panel that will field questions from attendees. AGENDA (subject to change): - Breakout/technical sessions will take place, beginning around 1300 on December 7. - There will be a welcome social/reception on the evening of December 7 at the Gaylord - The General Session will take place, beginning around 0800 on December 8 and conclude around 1700. A more detailed agenda will be available in the coming weeks. REGISTRATION/ATTENDANCE: Attire: Military � Duty Uniform; Civilian � Business Casual This in-person event will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN, on Wednesday, December 7 and Thursday, December 8, 2022. Due to the number of potential break out topics and warfighter presented subject matter, please note that this event is taking place IN PERSON only. Virtual attendance is not being offered at this time (subject to change). The cost for attendance is $285, which is used to cover food/beverage for both days and ancillary costs. There will be no refunds. The registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, November 18, 2022. Please keep in mind that because this event will take place during the holiday season, hotel rooms at the Nashville Gaylord will book up very quickly. We encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible. The Opryland Hotel, Residence Inn, Courtyard are all located within walking distance of the Gaylord. Numerous options are also available downtown Nashville, about an 18 drive away from the Gaylord. COVID GUIDELINES/VACCINATION STATUS (subject to change based on community/state rules): You must provide proof of vaccination OR a negative PCR test taken within three days of the event in order to attend this event. NOTE: The U.S. Army will make every effort to hold this meeting at the dates, times, and locations specified. The U.S. Army holds the right to cancel and/or change session event dates, times, and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, speaker cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event. The U.S. Army holds the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. If the U.S. Army must cancel the event, the U.S. Army is not responsible for costs incurred in preparation for the TEM. In the event of predicted inclement weather, a decision will be made by 1700 EST on the prior day. If the event is cancelled, the notice will be posted on this website and an email will be sent to all registered participants. FORUM BACKGROUND: The U.S. Army Network Cross-Functional Team and the Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical, along with Army partners, regularly host technical exchange meetings and industry forums as a means of exploring the art of the possible to meet Army network needs. The intent of the sessions is to enhance Government and industry communication and enable industry to respond quicker to critical emerging requirements with innovative technology solutions and partnerships. Questions are permitted during the meeting; however, questions in regards to any portfolio system in current source selection are not allowed. Informational slides are posted to SAM prior to the technical forum. UPDATE: 11/4/22 Project Manager for Intelligence Systems & Analytics (IS&A) within Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) is leveraging the Army network community�s Technical Exchange Meeting 9 to conduct early market research that will shape the acquisition strategy and technical options for it first Program of Record (PoR) responsible for artificial intelligence/ machine learning (AI/ML) operations (Ops), called Project Linchpin.
