- Note:� For further information please email:� Darcy.Montgomery@nrel.gov The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a national laboratory owned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). NREL is the only federal laboratory dedicated to research, development, commercialization, and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL is managed and operated for DOE�s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy (Alliance), the �M&O Contractor.� Description of Work: The Subcontractor will provide concrete services which includes but is not limited to: repair of concrete surfaces, form and pour or place and finish for footers, grade beams, stem walls, slabs, curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, drive pans, mud jacking, saw cutting, demolition, and custom concrete.� This work includes providing stamped and color concrete as well as unique concrete entryways and handicap ramps to meet safety standards.� The Subcontractor will also perform asphalt services including new paving, construction, remove and replace, milling, overlays, maintenance and repair, crack repair, pothole repair including partial depth and full depth, sealcoating, patching, infrared, saw cutting, demolition, and full depth replacement.� The Subcontractor will be expected to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform all concrete and asphalt services according to NREL�s design and required specifications. The work description also requires the subcontractor to remove, cut, alter, patch and repair existing work as necessary to install new work. Materials and workmanship used in restoring work will be confirmed in type and quality to that of original existing construction, except as otherwise shown or specified. A bidders list will not be distributed publicly. Respondents to this solicitation notice will be given access to the project specification documents upon receipt of the Notice of Intent to Propose. No subcontract award will be made to any contractor that is not registered or in the process of registering with the System for Award Management (SAM).
