Description: The USCG is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the gate operator for the Sector�s cantilever sliding vehicle gate. The north vehicle entrance to USCG Sector Lake Michigan is equipped with an automated cantilever slide gate.� The gate opening is ~24 ft wide, and the entire gate is ~36 ft long including the counterbalance. �The operator system for the gate has failed, causing the gate to no longer open and close automatically.� The gate can still be opened and closed manually by disengaging the drive system.
