This Market Survey is IAW AMS 3.2.1.2.1 and is for informational purposes only. The NAICS code was identified as 532411Lease or Rental of Equipment Aircraft and Airframe Structural Components. The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time. A SIR/Request for Offer may be made under a separate announcement in the future. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing vendor responses to this market survey. Therefore any cost associated with a market survey submission is solely at the interested vendors expense. How to Respond To This Market Survey Interested vendors should provide the following information: Listing of FAA approved Challenger 605 Level D simulators that may be rented as a dry lease by the FAA without instructors. This should include locations and any special conditions that the vendor may require for rental of simulators. Please address the likelihood of having available simulator(s) available upon timely request. The FAA may request Challenger 605 Level D simulator in 4 hour blocks for both initial training(8 blocks) and recurrent training (3 blocks), each on consecutive days. Discuss if possible to rent a simulator with a check pilot only. An estimate for the rental of simulators based upon initial (8 blocks) and recurrent (3 blocks) training and location. All responses to this market survey/request for information must be received by Wednesday, December 21, 2022, 3:00 p.m. CT. All responses should be submitted by email to: stephanie.r.riddle@faa.gov. Question:Regarding the possibility of renting the simulator with a check pilot only does that mean take a stand alone check ride with one of our TCEs (Training Center Evaluator) ? If so, it would be up to the FAA to accept that since it is not part of an approved training program. Answer: Yes. If this were requested the FAA would accept that it is not part of an approved training program.
