- This contract action is for the acquisition of service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to VitalSmarts, LC, 320 River Park Drive/Ste. SWB, Provo, Utah, 84604-6060, for the acquisition of a Cultural Conversations for Mastering Dialogue Course. (Virtual) The Division of Extramural Research and Training (DERT) DEIA Internal Working (DEIA WG) group seeks Crucial Conversations training. This unique workshop, developed and provided only by the VitalSmarts, LC, helps staff develop self-awareness, change mindset, expand accountability, have difficult conversations and drive organizational change.� The Division of Extramural Research and Training plans, directs and evaluates the institute's grant program which supports research and research training in environmental health. It develops program priorities and recommends funding levels to assure maximum utilization of available resources in attainment of institute objectives. There are approximately 80 full time Federal staff that make up the 9 business units within DERT.� This workshop will enable participants to: ��� �Master powerful skills for working through disagreement to achieve better results ��� �Develop plans to drive critical change within our organizations and teams ��� �Engage in a process of self-discovery to uncover unconscious bias ��� �Learn practical tool to drive equity and inclusion withing our teams and across the organization ��� �Learn behaviors that have a disproportionate impact on outcomes The period of performance is: February 1, 2023-August 31, 2023 The applicable North American industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611430 �Professional and Management Development Training� Its associated Business Size Standard is $13.0M. NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with VitalSmarts LC., and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must express their interest and must be submitted in writing via email to Valarie K. Sims at sims3@niehs.nih.gov �and are due by 10:00 AM, January 6, 2023. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by the due date, an award will be made to VitalSmarts LC. �
