Description
OPPORTUNITIES DESCRIPTION Correct Martinez and Mare Island Generator Fuel Lines at VAMC Martinez and Mare Island Outpatient Clinic, CA. Construction Services for Project 612-23-0002 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing a Request for Proposal for the project Correct Martinez and Mare Island Generator Fuel Lines. The project will be located at the VAMC Martinez 150 Muir Rd, Martinez, CA, and Mare Island Outpatient Clinic, 201 Walnut Ave., Mare Island, CA 94592. This project is to correct the deficiencies in the Martinez and Mare Island Marine Oil #2 (Diesel) fuel lines. This project intends to replace the single walled Marine Oil #2 (Diesel) fuel lines that feed the backup equipment in buildings 19 and 20 at the VA Martinez Medical Center and building 201 at the Mare Island Outpatient Clinic, with double walled fuel lines. The backup equipment includes, backup electric generators, and boilers for building heat. The fuel tanks that feed their respective systems are on-site. The project will also correct numerous condition deficiencies particularly those that relate to the plumbing of the backup fuel system. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, administrative support, and any necessary professional engineering services required for the construction to Correct Martinez and Mare Fuel Generator Lines IAW the SOW. The duration of this project is approximately 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP) is issued. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $39.5M. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be a total Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about January 12, 2023. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 in accordance with VAAR 836.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects.
