- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) 36C26223Q0374 -IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a source sought/RFI for market research only. The purpose of this source sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 541511 (size standard is $30 Million). Responses to this source sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Please allow 60-90 days for delivery. Vendor Requirements: Period of Performance is 45 days after award. (PLEASE ADVICE IF MORE TIME IS NEEDED) Vendor shall quote all items under this requirement. Vendor shall meet the Salient Characteristics in the Statement of Work (SOW). Vendor shall respond questions 1 through 8 of the Request of Information (RFI), see below. Statement of Work for Street Smart Virtual Reality (SSVR) 1. The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System has a requirement for a Virtual Reality unit that will supplement real world training and prepare VA Loma Linda Police Officers for at a minimum: 1.1. De-escalation Domestic violence Active shooter High-risk entry Public disturbance Emotionally disturbed person Suicidal subject Mental illness Suspicious subject 1.10. Contact & Cover 2.Salient Characteristics: 2.1. VR unit shall provide a training platform to help those who protect, defend, and save others to perform at their highest potential. VR unit shall combine a fully immersive experience with an ever-expanding library of training scenarios, to prepare our team for high-risk and worst-case situations in a safe manner. VR unit shall produce immersive training with weapon loadout identified in section 1 of Statement of Work (SOW) in a realistic environment with a 540-degree (+/- 45 degrees) field of view to replicate real world situations VR unit shall provide freedom of movement, and sub-millimeter precise tracking for safety. VR unit shall be portable and easy to deploy. VR unit shall be able to be set up as a training area as compact as 3 x 3 or as large as 25 x 25 that packs into a 30 (+/- 15 ) case when finished. VR unit shall be capable to produce future-proof regular scenarios that address new policies, incidents, and strategic objectives to future proof our force. VR unit shall provide on-demand technical service and support, with regular updates. VR unit shall be capable to introduce or revisit psychological and physiological stressors in a safe training environment. VR unit shall drive better resolutions with weapons tracking and accuracy analytics to track results. VR unit shall be capable of utilizing with one trainer saving resources. VR unit shall measure how many service members use force, in what scenarios, and at which moments to inform strategic objectives. VR unit shall include: 2.15.1 Precision 5820 Tower or Equal to 2.15.2 Virtual Reality (VR) headsets 2.15.3 SSVR Glock 19 accessory 2.15.4 SSVR AR15 2.15.5 SSVR OC spray 2.15.6 SSVR flashlight 2.15.7 Carrying Case 3.Period of Performance 3.1. 45 Days After Receipt of Order 4.Delivery 4.1. The vendor must coordinate with the VA Loma Linda Point of Contact to schedule the delivery. 4.2. The vendor must clearly tag and label the items. 4.3. The vendor must include equipment manuals with delivery. 5. Warranty 5.1. The VR units shall come with manufacturer s warranty covering labor and parts of manufacturing defects. 6.
