- This announcement constitutes a sources Sought Notice (SSN) for informational and planning purposes only. NAVSUP WSS is seeking potential sources interested in providing spares support for the Countermeasure Set, Acoustic (CSA) MK2 under a five (5) year multiple award IDIQ contract. As part of its market research, NAVSUP WSS is issuing this source sought notice to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing spares to support the program. These spares will support the US Navy Submarines. The NAICS Code for the requirements is 335929, Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing. The size standard is 1000 employees. The anticipated contract value is $9.6M. The Countermeasure Set, Acoustic (CSA) MK2 consists of the following items: NAME NSN Part Number Cable Assembly, BTC 1H-6145-01-568-8537-WN 7454379-1 Cable Assembly Launcher 1H-6145-01-568-8538-WN 7454380-1 Cable Assembly Launcher 1H-6145-01-568-8539-WN 7454380-2 Cable Assembly Launcher 1H-6145-01-568-8540-WN 7454380-3 These parts require engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved sources. The approved sources retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity�s procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. All contractors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be registered as a potential source. Vendors must be certified in accordance with S9320/AM-PRO-020/MLDG. Vendors that are certified and can produce the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves by providing Name, Address and Cage Code via e-mail to Tonya.Nearhood1@navy.mil. Any resultant solicitation will be released at the Government-wide Point of Entry, Contract Opportunities at SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Responses are requested no later than 16 JAN 2023 at 5:00 pm EST.
