- THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service- Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is NAICS Code 339113 Dental Equipment and Supplies (750 Employees). **Responses to this notice shall include Sources Sought number 36C26223Q0369 in the subject line of the email no later than 1/12/2023 @ 11:00am MST. **The following shall be provided in the capabilities statement or in body of email: Company name Address Point of contact Phone, fax, and email DUNS number/ UIE number Type of Large or small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran-owned small business If you are the manufacturer, please list any authorized distributors to include contact information. Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. Please provide sample pricing. ************************************************************************************* The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking a Brand Name or Equal Sarah Patient Sit to Stand Aid that meets the following salient characteristics for the Loma Linda VA Healthcare System: Salient Characteristics for Patient Lifts Please see attached and below information and provide salient characteristics (SC) for this requirement: Brand Name or equal to Sara Plus Sit to Stand Aid part number KKX52180M-EN Item should meet the following characteristics: A motorized lift must be able to lift a patient from a sitting position to a standing position. Must not require staff to lift more than 35lbs per the facility no lift/minimal lift directive. Must have a disposable sling option. Should be able to be operated by single user. Must be able to be cleaned by Sani and/or bleach wipes. Must have a rechargeable battery and charging station. ************************************************************************************* The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. However, if response by Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. Notice to potential offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service- Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. After review of the responses to this announcement, the Government intends to proceed with the acquisition and a subsequent solicitation may be published. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information. Responses to this notice shall not be considered as requests to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
