Description
The intent of this RFI is to solicit potential vendor interest in a government award to support and advance the capabilities of the Air Forces NexGen IT system (~target award date: Dec 2023 Mar 2024). NexGen IT is a civil engineering asset management system which consists of 7 capability areas (Real Property, Operations and Supply, Energy, Projects, General Ledger, Space Management with CAD, and Cost Accounting) and is deployed to 197 United States Air Force and Space Force (USAF/USSF) sites supporting ~40K users. The components that make up the NexGen IT system architecture include TRIRIGA, CE Data Framework (CEDF), System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Oracle Database, Grid Control, AppDynamics, and Authentication Gateway Service (DISA F5 Configuration). As NexGen IT is based on the TRIRIGA application, vendors should have significant experience and expertise on the IBM-based integrated workplace management system; and should also be credentialed in commercially provided government cloud constructs amid planned, future program migration activities (the operational system is currently hosted in the DISA Montgomery Defense Enterprise Computing Center [DECC]). The future NexGen IT Service Provider will assume responsibility for operations support and sustainment of fielded system capabilities. This also includes agile development and deployment of new capabilities in accordance with Higher Headquarter (HHQ) directives, Business Enterprise Systems (BES) initiatives, FIAR and similar audits, and other functional/technical requirements drivers to ensure system optimization. As an agile program, the service provider will modernize capabilities and increase efficiency/productivity for the Civil Engineer community, while also being capable of surging development capacity to meet emergent/dynamic needs.
