Description
STATEMENT OF WORK 10x10 Optimus Lower System Objective/Description Listed below are the components required for a multi-channel rack mountable electronically scanned pressure measurement / acquisition system with built in intelligent pressure scanners and mini module pressure scanners. These components are to be fully compatible with existing TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Incorporated Optimus systems. A market search has been performed and the recommended GSA vendor is: Characteristics, Scope, and Specs/Requirements System shall support the following pressure scanners Intelligent Pressure Scanner, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model 32HD Mini Module or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Compatible for use with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. MSDI (mini scanner digitizing unit) via OSCB cable. Scanner shall contain an on board microprocessor and 32 pressure transducers, each with internal EEPROM memory chip for storing factory calibration data. Unit shall be digitally compensated for zero, span, nonlinearity and temperature effects. Scanner shall be configured for full scale measurement range from a common reference input. Transducer accuracy, after re-zero, +/-0.03% full scale or better. Transducers shall be able to withstand 2X over pressure of full scale range without reducing sensor performance (Proof Pressure). Able to withstand 3X over pressure of full scale range without damaging sensor (Burst Pressure). Scanner shall have an operating range of 0 to 50 degrees C, the transducer reading shall be internally compensated to correct for temperature effects over this operating range of 0 to 50 deg C with a total thermal error of +/-0.001% F.S./deg C. Scanner shall provide front access for input of the pressure measurements. Scanner shall have 0.063 bulged tubulation fittings mounted on a quick disconnect plate for input of pressure measurements. Scanners shall have internal manifold valving and pneumatic calibration and control pressure inputs that allow for on-line pneumatic re-zero & span calibrations, and on-line leak checks of the pressure measurement transducers. Scanners shall be capable of reading rack source and purge pressures. Scanners shall support dual range calibration. System shall support the following controllers Intelligent Pressure Calibrator, Measurement Specialties Inc. Model 8432 or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Compatible for use with Measurement Specialties Optimus and 8400 Systems via the Remote Processor unit (part number 8404.) Able to perform calibration of Optimus mini modules (32HD and 64HD models) When used to calibrate Optimus mini modules, able to provide system accuracy of greater than +/- 0.03% FS. Able to perform Auto Accuracy Tests on the mini modules. Controller shall utilize resonant quartz pressure standards for absolute measurements and digital pressure standards for differential measurements. Contain a pressure relief valve designed to vent at 110% of the instruments full scale pressure. Controller shall provide known stable pressures to electronic pressure scanners for periodic calibration or validation. System shall support the following system controller System Processor, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model OSPR or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Compatible for use with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties 32HD and 64HD mini modules Able to control up to 32 mini modules for a maximum of 2048 data channels. Able to interface with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties MSDI unit via OFIU (Optical Fiber Interface Unit) installed at the factory. Able to control TE Connectivity/ measurement Specialties PCU to calibrate Optimus mini modules, able to provide system accuracy of greater than +/- 0.03% FS. Interface with existing COBRA data systems in GRC facilities via in-house software and hardware trigger input on back panel. System shall support the following fiber interface units Optical Fiber Interface Unit, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model OFIU or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to provide noise free data communication via 62.5 micron multimode fiber cable between the OSP and the MSDI scanner interface. Compatible for use with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties 32HD and 64HD mini modules vis MSDI over fiber connection. Able to support simultaneous pressure and force balance measurements. System shall support the following remote processing units Remote Processor, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model RP or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to interface with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties OSPR System Processor via RS-485/ GPIB interface. Up to three RP units can be controlled by one OSPR unit. Able to interface with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties PCU Pressure Controller Unit. Rack mountable unit. Can be placed in close proximity to mini modules to allow for short calibration tubing runs and therefore reduce calibration pressure settling time. Able to support simultaneous pressure and force balance measurements. System shall support the following remote power supply units Remote Power Supply, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model RPS or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to provide closely regulated power to TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties MSDI unit. Able to provide +12 VDC, -12 VCD, and +5 VDC rail to TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties 32HD and 64HD mini modules. Also compatible with legacy 8400 system. System shall support the following miniature scanner digitizing interfaces Miniature Scanner Digitizing interface, TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties Inc. Model MSDI or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to provide regulated power to TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties 32HD pressure scanning mini modules. Able to provide excitation feedback measurement on the mini modules. Able to conduct analog to digital (A/D) conversion of signals coming from TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties models 32HD and or 64HD miniature pressure scanning units. Small size and low power consumption to allow for placement inside rack mounted system near the mini modules. Cross sectional area designed to match the 32HD and 64HD mini modules. Able to interface with TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties OFIU via fiber optic cable. Able to support connection of up to eight mini modules and able to scan a maximum of 512 pressure data channels. System shall require the following cables 8476 MSDI power cable or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to provide regulated power to TE Connectivity/ Measurement Specialties MSDI, miniature scanner digitizing interface 8484 GPIB interface cable or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to connect Optimus OSPR with Optimus remote rack Able to send serial GPIB communications between the two units OSCB scanner cable or fully equivalent with the following salient specifications: Able to connect 32HD miniature pressure scanner to MSDI miniature scanner digitizing interface Able to send regulated power to the 32HD miniature pressure scanner Able to send analog signals back to the MSDI from the 32HD Able to carry digital channel selection signal to the 32HD miniature pressure scanner.
