The Government will provide an overview presentation on the history and status of the Port Everglades Deepening project, including general understanding of various mitigation plan components and numbers of organisms to be relocated or grown and outplanted. If interested, each attending entity can indicate they would like to participate in a one-hour one-on-one breakout session to answer the Governments questions. Due to the potential proprietary content of responses from industry, the Government team will meet individually with each requesting entity. The Government asks that each entity comes to their breakout session prepared to answer the questions (provided in the attachments) applicable to their area or areas of expertise, as the breakout session times are limited. The goal of the breakout sessions is for the Government to obtain market research from mitigation practitioners regarding different aspects of reef mitigation (nurseries, artificial reefs, relocation efforts, etc.) in order to improve mitigation plans, design, and schedules for future mitigation contracts available for open competition. Therefore, input from the industry is critical to the success of this project and for future potential involvement. Additional clarification may also be provided if the mitigation practitioner would like to ask questions independently. Please do not respond to the posted questions until your industry day breakout session.Responses will remain confidential; no disclosure of responses will be publicly posted or shared with any other firm. The information received will remain for official Government use only for the purpose of drafting requirement documents concerning this project.
