Description: This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Government's intent to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract with Boy Scouts of America, located at 1325 W Walnut Hill LN Irving, Texas 75038-3008, United States.� The Army National Guard will be supporting the National Scout Jamboree being held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve and will require life support for up to 500 Soldiers. The Mount Jack / Garden Ground area on the Summit Bechtel Reserve (SBR) has been identified as the only suitable location for the emplacement of the primary life support base camp.� The camp is strategically located at this location in order to fulfill mission support requirements in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner during the National Scout Jamboree. �The service will provide continuous access to the designated area, on-site power and water sources, garbage removal services, as well as ensure upkeep and functionality of the area and access routes, and any other requirements as defined in the SOW. The Government intends to negotiate solely with Boy Scouts of America per FAR 13.106(b)(1), as no other source of service will satisfy agency requirements.� The NAICS for this acquisition is 561210, PSC R799.� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� No solicitation package will be issued.� This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations.� �
