Market Survey Capability Questions - Question III.�� All other terms and conditions of this market survey remain the same.� Files attached: (1)�Vendor Q and A; (2)�RID Market Survey Amendment 1 (in track changes) The end of the Announcement ------------------------- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is procuring products and services for the design, production, testing, implementation, training and sustainment of up to 200 (quantity) of Runway Incursion Devices (RID) at approximately 70 airport locations throughout the NAS. The purpose of this market survey announcement is to gain a better understanding of the industry and identify available technologies, sources, and level of effort required to meet the requirement.� Specifically, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking: Information concerning potential interested vendors and their capability to satisfy FAA�s future requirement. To identify maturity, adaptability, and complexity of currently available RID products in the marketplace that could meet the FAA�s requirements for replacement RID units. Information to consider regarding RID production, testing, implementation, training and sustainment. Information to consider in acquisition planning. Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost information. Market survey deadlines are as follows:� Submit questions or comments by: November 18, 2022, 5 pm Deadline for response: December 23, 2022, 5 pm This announcement is being issued in accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. Interested parties are advised that this is a market survey. �This market survey shall not be construed as a Screening Information Request (SIR) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) of any kind.� The FAA will not pay for any information received nor costs incurred in preparing a response to this market survey. Any costs associated with a market survey submittal are solely at the interested vendor�s expense. �The FAA reserves the rights to have communication with any or none of the respondents and, upon submittal, any documentation and information becomes the property of FAA. The FAR references cited in beta.SAM.gov are not applicable to the Federal Aviation Administration as the FAA has its own policies and guidance referenced in the Acquisition Management System (AMS).�
