Description
The purpose of this Sources Sought/RFI is to conduct market research in order to determine whether responsible sources exist and if this effort can be executed through a competitive process. This Sources Sought/RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought/RFI or any follow up information requests. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction. The size standard to be classified as a small business is $45.0 million. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 36.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects this project is projected to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The intent of this project is for the Contractor to execute a complete Design Bid Build project to install electrical conduit and supporting site work which will provide service to the existing building site interface manhole. This project will consist of replacing the existing non-standard substation. This work will involve adding connections to primary duct banks, new switchgear, busses, and breaks, as well as adding a fourth feeder to rebalance existing electrical loads.� The capacity of the system remains constant at 20MVA. This effort is a follow-on effort to perform work to complete electrical substation work contracted by MIT Lincoln Labs. The intent is to have contract awarded by 31 March 2023 in order to complete work started by MIT Lincoln Labs. �Work will began shortly after the award date.
