Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice issued on January 25, 2023, by the Architect of the Capitol� (AOC) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) section 5.204. The purpose of this notice is to publicize an upcoming solicitation.�No proposals are requested or will be reviewed in response to this notice.� The information is for informational purposes only.�If there is a difference between the information provided here and the information provided in the actual solicitation when released, the information provided in the solicitation shall govern.� Interested parties may request to be placed on an interested parties list for notification by emailing the contracting officer with their contact information; otherwise, interested parties are responsible for checking this website regularly for the release of the solicitation and for any other acquisition-related notices or documents. The anticipated solicitation release date is Tuesday, January 31, 2023. The purpose of this requirement is for AOC to provide food services to all members, visitors, and staff of the United States Senate (Senate). Serving Congress and the Supreme Court, the AOC is the builder and steward of the landmark buildings and grounds of Capitol Hill. AOC staff preserves and maintains the historic buildings, monuments, art, and inspirational gardens on the Capitol campus. Recognizing the trust placed in us by Congress and the American people, the AOC team is committed to providing a safe environment and inspiring experiences for all who work and visit the symbol of American democracy.� AOC manages foodservices on behalf of the United States Senate (Senate). Senate dining operations are unique given the congressional environment in which they exist. In addition to historic and architectural value, food services provide Members of Congress, their staff, and supporting agencies a convenient solution and facilitate legislative and representational work of Congress.���The contract awardee will be responsible for providing food services in the following locations: Dirksen Caf� (Dirksen Senate Office Building), Senate Carryout (U.S. Capitol), Catering Services (throughout Senate campus), Senate Dining Room (U.S. Capitol), Inside Scoop (convenience store, Hart Senate Office Building), The Refectory (convenience store, U.S. Capitol) and Vending (throughout Senate campus).� The estimated start date for full performance is 12/7/2023 with up to a three (3) month transition period immediately preceding. The anticipated period of performance is as follows: Base Period - four (4) years Option Period 1- two (2) years Option Period 2 -two (2) years Option Period 3 - two (2) years
