***** This is a REQUEST FOR INTEREST ONLY! This request does not constitute a request for proposal, requestfor quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this request is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes only. ***** Request for Information (RFI) Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah RiverSite (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, solicits expressions of interest from potential suppliers capable of providing respirator protection equipment. Revised 1/25/23 � see Scope Summary below, added second paragraph. Scope Summary: Multipurpose respirator facepiece Industrial Respiratory Protection Applications� �-� � Complete respirator ensemble must be NIOSH approved as an air purifying respirator and/or power air purifying respirator.�� PAPR can be used with tight fitting facepiece or loose fitting facepiece (and welding helmet, if available). Respirator facepiece can be used as an air purifying respirator (APR) facepiece can be combined with a motor/blower and used as a powered air purifying respirator Same motor/blower can be used with a loose fitting facepiece (i.e., hood or welding helmet) Additional features for the APR Lightweight 5 point strap adjustment Cartridges/filters preferred to be threaded rather than bayonet style Available cartridges shall include P100; Organic Vapor-P100; Organic Vapor/Acid Gas-P100; Mercury; and Mercury-P100 Additional features for PAPR Assigned protection factor (APF) of 1,000 with tight fitting and loose fitting facepiece (with manufacturer�s supporting data) Lightweight Low battery alarm Low airflow alarm Battery run time Blower and battery warranty Available cartridges shall include HEPA; Organic Vapor-HE; and Organic Vapor/Acid Gas-HE Multiple breathing tube lengths to accommodate people of different heights Hoods that can be worn with hardhats Welding helmet (option) A supplier's response to the RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the RFP. Suppliers responding to this RFI should include evidence of the following: 1. Manufacturer�s specification sheet 2. Standard Lead time 3. Availability of Respirator Maintenance Training 4. Country of Origin (where respirator/respirator components are manufactured) E-mail response addressing items 1 thru 4 above shall be submitted by 5:00 p.m. est. on 2/3/23 to Barbara McCarty, �barbara.mccarty@srs.gov.
