- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm-Fixed Price order to General Atomics, San Diego, CA, under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-21-G-0014, for a correction to the Prime Power Interface Subsystem (PPIS) Inverter Software (SW) in support of the operation of the EMALS systems of the Ford Class of Carriers.� This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(l), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, ""Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."" A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.� This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 21-0339.� The redacted CJ&A is attached to the announcement.�
