Description

Norfolk Naval Shipyard intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR part 13.106-1(b). The associated NAICS code for this service is 336611 with a size standard of 1,250 and PSC Code J019.The identified vendor is ESI Acquisition Corp (DBA Moody Marine Service), authorized to repair Leslie Control valves. The service is for the opening, testing and repairing of Leslie valves. The anticipated period of performance of the firm fixed price contract is February 1, 2023 to April 3, 2023. The item or service is only available from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), or there is only one authorized distributor or technical representative for the OEM. ESI Acquisition Corp (DBA Moody Marine Service) is the only authorized OEM repair service for Leslie Control valves on the US East Coast. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
