- The Buffalo District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is surveying the market to determine the current facilities in the United States that are licensed to accept 11e.(2) ore residues (K-65 Residues).� The estimated average radium-226 concentration of the packaged 11e.(2) residues that would be shipped for direct disposal are estimated to range from 50,000 to 200,000 picocuries per gram (pCi/g). The estimated in situ volume is 21,744 cubic meters (28,440 cubic yards), and in situ concentration of the K-65 and adjacent L-30, L-50 and F-32 residues ranges from 300 to 520,000 pCi/g. Please submit an email to the Contracting Officer if your company can meet the requirement of the first paragraph.� Please note that this is a market survey for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). There is no solicitation document available and no contract will be awarded based on this announcement.� Further, no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement.
